When you left your lightsaber at home, a roasted corncob will do. Evan and his dad enjoying the food at a weekend downtown street event.
The Yampa River is running high and the C-Hole is treacherous

There's still snow on the mountain at the end of May
Evan has attended Trinity almost five years to the date -- he started there at eight months old, on May 21, 2001.
Note the cute motarboard snacks made from chocolate covered graham cookies, a peanut butter cup, and red licorice.

This past weekend, Evan's grandpa and his friend, Lillamae, were in town. With seven kids It's not often that this many are able get together at one time. On Saturday, we managed to assemble five siblings, two spouses, and six grandchildren for a cookout at Evan's house.
The weather was perfect and the burgers were juicy. Fun, fun, fun.

Even Karma wanted to have her photo taken.
I'm not sure who enjoyed Mother's Day more -- Mom or the boys. Evan and his dad did allow me to use my deluxe foot spa first, but once they got their toes in it, I couldn't get them out.

Evan's ever-thoughful aunt, recently gave him a gift of Triops eggs (too early for Easter eggs). If you haven't heard of Triops, they're something like cousins to Sea Monkeys. Since their form hasn't changed since the Triassic period, they are marketed as living dinosaurs and may well be the oldest living animal species on earth.
Here's Evan working on the computer, into the wee hours of the night (as you can tell by the pj wardrobe). It's so hard to turn him away when I'm trying to do homework in the evening and he asks if he can work on "Evan's Story," a Word document we've saved for him.
